The Route 40 Soup Co. came about on a wonderful day in the hills of Highwood Pass just off the Highway 40 in Kananaskis we were on a hunt for wild berries and edible plants, and you must remember the Bears - they are always somewere. Then in mid stride it came to me a Culinary Experience is like a Highway Excursion. It is almost always eagerly anticipated, you can find new and exciting things along the way, and finally it can create an experience that lasts a lifetime.
So with that note I ran over to my wonderful Wife Lanny and told her this vision I had and she added a great tidbit. Highway 40 Hugs an area that includes a abundance of All Natural Ranchers, Farmers, Organic Vegetable Purveyors, and many wonderful Artists of preserves, sauces and many tasty Delights. So why not represent all those working hard to make a living and use local, support our communities. Well Dear Guests, we are ready to share the Alberta countryside with you. Get ready for a culinary trip to remember. |
